Here is a news for people whose plans for Vaishno Devi got cancelled. The shrine will launch an app soon. This is to allow devotees for live darshan. Also, live hawan (offering prayers to god in front of the fire). So, the app will launch on October 17. The yatra resumed on August 16 following the protocols.

Now, the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine of Jammu and Kashmir’s will also allow devotees to take part virtually, via mobile application. Also, there will be home delivery of puja prasad. For this, one needs to book the prasad from the website. You will receive at the doorstep via speed post. The brain behind the prasad is Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.

As per NDTV reports, the senior official said, “Although the coronavirus outbreak briefly halted the large gathering at religious places, the board is devising new methods so that devotees unable to take nearly 12 km trek to the cave and can still have darshan and blessings while sitting at home.”
Also, Ramesh Kumar, the Chief Executive Officer of the shrine board has said, the temple is currently live-streaming the daily rituals on a religious TV channel. Adding, “The mobile app would provide an opportunity to the worshippers across the globe to have an individual experience of godliness and bliss. Mobile app will also provide flexibility so devotees will not miss the Amrit Vela even if they are on the move.”
It can run on both Android and IOS.
The shrine receives thousands of pilgrims from all over the world. Because of Pandemic, the visitors have gone down. To tackle the virus, the shrine board employees have personal protective equipment ( PPE) kits too.
