The spring season is on and the famous tulip garden in Kashmir is open for tourists. PM Modi has urged people to visit the garden. Tweeting on social media, he said “Whenever you get the opportunity, do visit Jammu and Kashmir and witness the scenic Tulip festival. In addition to the tulips, you will experience the warm hospitality of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Having its location in Zabarwan range in Jammu and Kashmir, it is Asia’s largest Tulip Garden. It opens to the public in the spring season, on March 25 this year, when tulips are in full bloom.
On Wednesday, PM Modi said,
“Tomorrow, 25th March is special for Jammu and Kashmir. A majestic tulip garden on the foothills of the Zabarwan Mountains will open for visitors. The Garden will see over 15 lakh flowers of more than 64 varieties in bloom.”
Talking about the garden, it is spread over 30 ha of land and inauguration was done by the then chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in 2007. Also, the garden has seven terraces, and each terrace has a different variety of tulips. Moreover, they have more than 64 varieties of tulips and more varieties gets add on each year.
The view is totally mesmerizing to eyes. You can see large varieties of Tulips wherever your eyes reach. So, if you get a chance or make a plan and head to watch this beauty.
