Netflix is rolling out a test warning users sharing account login information to users outside of their home or family, as per Gammawire. Also, as per report, a small group of users got a warning on the app to verify. This is in regard to whether they are using their own Netflix account or not.

For example, if you are using your friend’s account, you will need to text your friend for the verification code that will be there on the number of the account holder. So, make sure you only borrow the account of people who are in touch with.

The pop-up read

“If you don’t live with the owner of this account, you need your own account to keep watching.” The users also get the “Verify Later” option if they do not have immediate access to the verification code.

The Netflix told IGN,

“This test is designed to help ensure that people using Netflix accounts are authorized to do so.” Currently, the test is on TV devices. Also, only for a few countries.
