If you are willing to travel to Thailand this might be a quick update for you. So, there might be some relaxations in the quarantine rules for foreigners visiting Thailand. The country has plans to start a series of steps aiming at restarting the tourism sector in the country. After months of COVID-19 regulations, and restrictions, the country is finally looking to welcome visitors once again.
As per reports, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration might consider the proposal for the new rules. It suggests that foreign nationals can leave their hotel rooms after the three-day period of the mandatory two-week quarantine. But the area hotel quarantine will require tourists to remain within the properties.
Also, there has been suggestions that the relaxation will at first be for top Thai tourist destinations. These include Krabi, and Phuket. Both the destinations see a large number of tourists. Also, there are talks about lifting mandatory quarantines by July 1. So, the tourists having vaccines can now visit the country.
Today, Thailand has about 71 new cases of coronavirus, with 79 active cases. Moreover, the cities such as Bangkok also entertain a lot of tourists every year.
