Rihanna has made into the Sunday Times Rich List of musicians. She stands at number three. Her estimated wealth is 468 million pounds (Rs 43,19,35,93,741). This includes the success of her fashion and cosmetics brands with Louis Vuitton-owner LVMH.
Rihanna was born in Barbados and is currently based in London. She took over in terms of wealth, some of Britain’s most famous musicians. For instance Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, Elton John and Rod Stewart.
Apart from her, musical composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and former Beatle Paul McCartney join top the list with some £800 million (Rs 73,79,01,76,000) each.
Not only music RiRi is also known for her daring, colourful looks on the red carpet. Rihanna has become an influential force in the fashion world. The singer also has eight hit albums.
The compiler of the list Robert Watts said, “Rihanna typifies the seismic change we’ve seen in the Rich List in recent years. Once dominated by inherited wealth, the bulk of our 1,000 entries are now self-made people with modest and even troubled starts in life who are driven to work exceptionally hard.”
Also, under the category of 30 or under of Britain’s richest young musicians, Ed Sheeran ranks on the top. He stands at a fortune of £200 million (Rs 18,44,96,57,008).
“Touring remains the big earner for many of the stadium-filling acts on our musicians’ list,” Watts said.
“But the Covid outbreak has wrecked concert plans and so we expect the wealth of many of these musicians will flatline over the coming year.”
