Last month, PUBG Mobile was under ban in India along with 117 more Chinese-linked apps. This had both PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. Even after removal, people could still play who have install on their phones. So, PUBG Mobile has now made an announcement that it will stop functioning in India from today onwards.
On its Facebook page it made the announcement late Thursday. The post said “Tencent Games will terminate all service and access for users in India to PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG MOBILE Lite (together, “PUBG Mobile”) on October 30,2020.”
Also, it said that the user privacy and data was under protection.
PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite can no longer be in use in India. Post the ban, both games removed from the app stores. There were reports of PUBG Mobile possibly partnering with telcos. These include Airtel and Reliance Jio to relaunch its services in India. Also, the PUBG Corp even posted a job opening in the country.
