The Poco F1’s successor is all set to come. A number of leaks and rumours say that the Poco F2 might be another rebranded Redmi phone from China. The global team of Poco has hinted at the F2’s launch.
For now, there is no launch date or teaser for the phone. There are chances that Poco would announce the F2 via an online event. This will be similar to how its parent company Xiaomi has been launching phones in lockdown.
Till now, the Poco F2 is said to be a rebranded Redmi K30 Pro from China. Poco’s India GM keeps on denying this. Some leaked documents and certifications certifies the statement.
A few weeks ago there was a statement stating about the launch. The Poco F2 Pro for the global market is said to be different from the one in India. India will get later in the year.
For India, Xiaomi is bringing the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition under its Redmi brand. Rather than lending to the Poco team. That means the actual Poco F2 and Poco F2 Pro for India could be brand new phones. The two phones will be designed from scratch, similar to the original Poco F1.
The Pro model is said to have same internals as the Redmi K30 Pro. Poco might change the rest of the phone. The Pro modelcould have a Snapdragon 865 and 4700mAh battery.
Specifications of the f2 launch
In Poco F2, the model could follow the trend of using premium midrange specifications by keeping the price under check. The Poco F2 could have a Snapdragon 765G chip while sticking to a high refresh rate LCD display. Also, a big battery with fast charging.
Also, rumours say that Poco could even use the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chip on the standard Poco F2. This would guarantee even better performance.
So, keep under check the launch of Poco F2 Pro for the European market. After that, India could get the F2 soon after.
