If you are planning a Diwali break, here is a travel suggestion for you all. The Tent City in the Rann of Kutch will be reopening to visitors on November 12. Also, due to pandemic, authorities have taken all the safety measures to ensure safety of the visitors.
Spread across an area of 7500 sq km, the White Rann is one of the largest salt deserts in the world. It will remain open to visitors till February 28. Bhavik Sheth, Finance and Operation Manager, Lallooji & Sons, said that around 350 tents have been set up. These are at Dhordo village to facilitate the stay of visitors.
There is focus for disinfecting is on common spaces. These include adventure sports zone, reception and vehicles zone, haat and dining hall area, and others. Also, the entire staff has undergone training. This is in regard to the COVID-19 protocols, and will wear protective gears and face masks at all times.
Adequate social distancing measure are there.
As per reports, more than 35000 visitors enjoy first-hand experience every year.
Apart from this, one can also plan to visit many historical monuments. These include Kalo Dungar (Black Hill) when here. Also, one can see artisans at work, attend musical programmes, or buy unique handicrafts directly from their workshops.
