Even due to Pandemic, OnePlus launched its OnePlus 8 series across the globe in April. The company will begin sales as soon as the situation improves.
You can expect the sales to start by the end of May. OnePlus India General Manager Vikas Agarwal said in an interview with IANS that the OnePlus 8 series is currently in production.
The sales could begin as soon as the end of this month. “We are expecting it to transition into robust sales in the coming months. The OnePlus 8 series will be available in the Indian market by May end,” Agarwal told IANS.
The company will simply begin the sale on e-commerce platforms without any events. The company partners with Amazon India to sell its products. The same will be for the OnePlus 8.
OnePlus will have a special entry-level model for its OnePlus 8. This will be sold exclusively on Amazon. This variant costs Rs 41,999 and will have 6GB RAM.
The Indian prices are lower than the international prices. The OnePlus 8 series is still expensive as compared to previous series.
The main reason for the price rise this year is because of 5G push from Qualcomm. This makes it more expensive for phone makers to design a new product.
Starting at Rs 41,999, the OnePlus 8 is offering a Snapdragon 865 chip. Also a 90Hz curved AMOLED display measuring 6.5-inches. It has a great camera and 30W fast wired charging. The Pro version starts at Rs 54,999.
