Tourists will now enjoy sitting in ‘Victoria 2.0’ e-carriages in Maharashtra. So, Maharashtra Tourism is ready to introduce these colonial carriages in Mumbai as a tourist attraction. As per reports, 12 e-carriages will come in the first phase. These will run at Mumbai’s famous places such as Gateway of India, Marine Drive and Nariman Point.
These will be operated by batteries and will feature GPS audio guides for the convenience of tourists. Also, this is not the first time they are coming to Mumbai streets. A few years ago it used to transport people from one colonial marvel and to another in the city.
For booking, Ketan Kadam, Founder/CEO, UBO Ridez Pvt Ltd, said,
“We are encouraging E-wallet payments through all popular E-wallet platforms. As for the bookings, we are also tying up with multiple platforms such as Khaki Tours, Bookmyshow and our own Facebook and Instagram pages.”
So, the best thing is the carriages are completely eco-friendly. Pollution is the major concern and they will not pollute. Also, they will have capacity to seat six people.
Coming to the timing, these will be available from 4 PM to 2 AM in the morning. Also, a proper sanitization stand will be there for the e-carriages where the vehicles will get clean after each ride. Moreover, masks are important.
