Do you love reading too? We know book lovers must be tired of reading at home. There have been pretty well options for avid readers. Metros have been one of them. So, now book lovers will have a new spot for book lovers. The West Bengal Corporation (WBTC) recently came up with a tram library in the Kolkata popular College Street area.
The WBTC Managing Director Rajanvir Singh Kapur said that it will be a beautiful and small edition in Kolkata’s literary landscape. Adding, he said the tram library will travel regularly between Shyambazar and Esplanade.
So, the tram library will have all kinds of books, magazines and various competitive examination books. The officials in the know-how said that books will also be regularly updated. Also, the trams will have access to free Wi-Fi. As per reports, tram literature festival is under planning for the month of November.
The library came up when the services on the Shyambazar-Esplanade route was began again. Also, officials added, precautions will be there keeping the current situation in mind.
For now, Kolkata is the only state to boast of such a tram network. The tram library is a new idea!
