So, apart from these facilities, a science park and an amphi theatre will also come up here, as per reports. Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has already begin commission works to make the Jog Falls a world-class tourist site.
In the makeover process, the current viewing deck will get an upgrade, whereas the other one will be added. Also, the amphitheatre will be there for cultural events, a science park for kids engagement, and amenities like toilets and cafeteria.
As per sources from the KPCL, the project is the brainchild of Shivamogga MP BY Raghavendra, and also has religious aspect. Adding, the project will involve starting a boating facility from jungle lodges to the Vadanbailu Padmavathi Temple in Hebbail village. With boat facility, there will be no need for prior approval from KPCL and will also reduce the distance and time.
According to reports, KPCL has set 2023 as the deadline for the project.
