Japan to come up with Vaccine Passports to resume travel!

International travel has become a factor and certain countries are coming up with the idea of vaccine passports. And Japan is the latest country to do so. So, the idea of vaccine passports is to make it easy to travel for those who have been vaccinated. These passports will be in the form of a phone app. Travellers need to scan QR codes at airports before boarding the flights, or even before getting into Japan.

So, by introduction of these, the Japanese government has hopes that business travel will resume in the country. It has become stagnant since pandemic. As per Tari Kono, the minister in charge of Japan’s vaccination drive, said “Other countries are doing it, so Japan will have to consider it too.”

Gradually, the Vaccine passports are becoming the norm, with the European Union, and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Moreover, China is going for it too.

As per reports, the vaccine passports for Japan are going to list negative results from polymerase chain reaction. And also antigen tests.

For now, the nation is only entertaining foreign residents, and citizens. Also, foreigners who have some exceptional circumstances. But, such people are to submit COVID negative test results of 72 hours before departure.
