The state government of Uttarakhand has given permission to start inter-state buses. Also, the government made clear that people will be according to the capacity allowed. Uttarakhand’s Chief Secretary, Mr Om Prakash, issued the SOP for the movement of inter-state and intra-state services.
As per the order, “The UTC will be allowed to run inter-state buses only after establishing coordination with the transport corporations of other states. They will have to strictly follow the Covid-19 guidelines during the operation of bus services including mandatory wearing of masks by bus staffers and passengers along with thermal screening.”
1) Sanitization of all public vehicle is compulsory before and after the journey.
2) No taking of tobacco, pan, and cigarettes on the buses.
3) Not to travel while standing.
4) Marks are compulsory for passengers, conductors and drivers.
5) Every passenger must install Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phones.
As per the order, the UTC can operate only 100 trips each day. The State Transport Authority will decide the fares. Also, the government ends the order of filling 50 per cent people in buses and increasing the fare.
The services have begun again after six months. Also, a good number of people were there at the Dehradun and Haridwar bus station on Wednesday. As per reports, the buses going to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Kumaon were full.
With Unlock 5, the state government allows inter-state operations. The UTC allows taxis, cabs, to operate on inter-district and inter-state routes.
