The cases spike was earlier limited to 6,000 to 7,000 in 24 hours. India records the highest spike in coronavirus cases on Monday with 8,392 fresh cases of infections in 24 hours. India’s tally crosses 1.9-lakh mark.

Also, the deaths in India due to Corona have increased too. There was 230 deaths in 24 hours. The total death tally has reached to 5,394.

According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India has recorded a total number of 1,90,535 coronavirus cases. The active cases are 93,322. Also, 91,819 have recovered/discharged/migrated.

On Sunday, India had the highest single-day spike of cases. It had 8,380 new infections in 24 hours. So, the tally reached to 1,82,143. Also, the death toll was 5,164.

According to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Covid-19 tracker, India is the world’s seventh worst-hit country in terms of coronavirus cases. The US is the worst-affected country in terms of cases.

Also, as states ease from today, Haryana reopened its borders with Delhi on Monday morning. Haryana too has allowed inter-state and inter-district travel. The lockdown in containment zones is till June 30 in Haryana.

From today, the night curfew timings have also shifted from 9 pm to 5 am. Many restrictions lifted up today.

Talking about the states, Maharashtra which is the worst affected state. Also, the government allowed the resumption of film shooting with some restrictions in place.

Among the worst-hit countries, Brazil recorded 16,409 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking the final tally to 514,849, country’s Health Ministry said on Sunday.
