Bollywood has a huge fanbase and people never stop obsessing over their favourite stars. But there are cases that stars make a personal impact on people’s life. So, the story of Delhi’s Vipin Kumar Oberoi is one such case. Celebrity hero – Rajesh Khanna – shared his living space with the fan and also gave guidance to him towards a better life and fortune. Vipin owns a Rajesh Khanna themed food van in Chanakyapuri called Treat. The actor was the inspiration behind the business and he did the inauguration too.
The story of him with “kaka” began in the 1960s. He went to see Aradhana. He wanted to meet and his dream finally came true in 1981. It was on the sets of the film Ashanti. Vipin joined the Lok sabah elections of 90s which the actor contested. He became a close associate, and gained such deep trust and the actor let him move inside his house. Rajesh Khanna became a mentor to Vipin and advised him to open his own food van. Hence, treat came up.
Popularly known as the “Rajesh Khanna food van”, the late actor who loved the mutton kofta here. Also, out of the 40 chinjabi dishes here, 25 were selected by “Kaka” himself. Today also there are large portraits of the actor, with fancy lights, and music from his movies plays softly in the background.
