First ever seaplane of India to take flight from Gujarat in October!

Gujarat seaplane service is going to start soon. The state government announced the seaplane service will be from October 31. It will provide air connection from Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad to Statue of Unity in Kevadia. The reason for choosing the particular date in the birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.

Also, this will be India’s first ever seaplane service.

The Gujarat government signed MoU with Union Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) and Airports Authority of India in July.

As per the release, the operations of the service will be by Spicejet, from Sabarmati. Also, there will be four flights per day. The ticket price will be around INR 4800 per person.

The action of the scheme is by a three party agreement. This include the MoCA, the state government, and Airports Authority of India. Also, the opening will be by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He might be there on the account of birth anniversary of Sardar Patel.
