Having its roots set way back in 1947, Daryaganj is one of the most iconic restaurants in Delhi. The history says that late Kundan Lal Jaggi had to abandon his life in Peshawar and move to Delhi. Soon, he became a restaurateur. Also, co-owner of a restaurant in the capital’s Daryaganj locality. It became known for inventing the most loved Butter Chicken and the Dal Makhani.
Wondering how the DARYAGANJ – By The Inventors Of Butter Chicken & Dal Makhani was built? Almost seven decades later, grandson Raghav Jaggi, in collaboration with his childhood friend Amit Bagga, decided to pay tribute to Kundan Lal Jaggi. The result was DARYAGANJ. Also, the first outlet came about on 13 April 2019. And the number increased to four outlets.
But, they didn’t lose their authenticity even today. The brand maintained its ethos – focus on flavor and authenticity over flashy embellishments. The restaurant décor is chic and traditional in equal measure.
In the current situation, the restaurants are not working. But soon they will reopen. Also, the brand took out some ‘Ready To Eat‘, ‘Ready To Cook‘ and DIY packets from Daryaganj. Isn’t it amazing? Savour those authentic yummy dishes by making them at home.
