In a statement issued on August 26, the state government of Jharkhand allowed darshan to devotees at the Baidyanath Joytirlinga. For now, only residents can visit. Also, not more than 50 people in an hour. Moreover, the circular issued by the authorities states that entry to the temple should be done via an online system. Talking on visitors stay, no one is allowed on premises for more than 4 hours.
“Jharkhand Government allows residents of the State for darshan at Baidyanath Jyotirlinga temple at Deoghar; the number of persons visiting the temple shall not exceed 50 per hour.”
Also, those visiting need to follow the strict guidelines. This is to reduce the chances of spread of COVID-19. Also, everyone has to abide to the norm of social distancing and guildelines as laid by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
With the ease of everything, temples and tourists places have started to reopen. Many tourists places have also began the openeing of hospitality sector. But, all the places have certain norms and guidelines that needs to be followed. Hoping, Jharkhand re opens the temple for tourists too.
