Ayodhya to get the state-of-the-art airport! Yes, the Civil Aviation Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri said in a statement. For the same, the Airports Authority of India has sanctioned INR 242 crore. This will benefit visitors and pilgrims wishing to visit the Ram Temple in the city of Ayodhya.
The airport will get operational early next year. Ayodhya’s Ram Temple is under construction after the Supreme Court’s order on August 5, 2020.
Talking about the temple, it is in an area of 270 acres, and as per reports, ATR72 aircraft operations will begin in the first phase. Under the phase 2 of the project, it will have an upgradation to accommodate wide body aircraft. Eventually, it will upgrade in an international. Also, a new airport is going to open at Lalitpur, in the Bundelkhand region.
So, the Ayodhya airport will have the name Maryada Purushottam Sriram Airport, Ayodhya, after Lord Ram.
Apart from this, cities such as Aligarh, Moradabad, and Meerut will also have air service soon. A proposal of a budget of INR 300 crore is put forward special schemes of Purvanchal. Also, a proposal of a budget of INR 210 crore for Bundelkhand region.
