Apple iPhone 12 camera upgrade to bring in-air gesture feature

The new Apple iPhone 12 series is all set to come with upgraded features. This is especially in the camera department. The rebuilt camera module will let you experience a better photography. Also, bring improved Face ID performance and air gestures as well.

Patently Apple reports that the company’s new  iPhone 12 will have a new Time of Flight (ToF) camera sensor. This is to deliver the said all-around enhancements. In comparison to current and older technologies such as 3D scanning, the upgraded ToF camera will allow to capture up to 4x the data.

Talking about the Face ID, it is going to be more fast and more accurate. Also, the new series could also applications such as improved AR experience and better indoor navigation. It may help deliver better portrait images with bokeh effect.

Patently Apple in its report said,

“Because of its clarity of depth, it could also enable and usher in what’s known as in-air gesturing for the iPhone and in vehicles in the future,”.

That said, in-air gestures are not a new concept. This technology is already there in Google Pixel 4. But there may be that Google may have not been able to implement the technology well. Many users pointed out issues regarding it.

The Apple’s iPhone 12 series will be out in October this year. Also, Apple could present at least four variants of the iPhone 12 including a compact 5.4-inch model. OLED screens will be there in 5G models.
